 WWWWWWWWWWW W wwwwwwww wwwH While the National Team is in Maryland, the rest of the team is getting ready for Age Group Champs.  The swimmers that made their Champ cuts (pictured above) went to a local Italian restaurant (Barone's) for a pasta party and team bonding.  GOOD LUCK SWIMMERS!! 

The National Team traveled to the University of Maryland to compete in the 2010 Y National Championship Swim Meet.  Just after arrival, a storm came through the area that brought down signs, trees and power lines.  The hotel was without power for 1 ½ days, but the team made the best of things.  Using flashlights to get around hotel, the picture above shows the team working on their national team T-shirts in the lobby; in the dark.  Pictured below is the National Team at the pool.  (Bottom Row: Mary Claire Webb, Meg Beese.  Middle Row: Erin Sivak, Sara Pardue and Susan Peinsipp.  Top row: Allison Pavlik, Rachael Loek and Rachel Slowinski.  (Luke Bajda is not pictured)).  Read more and get the results under What's New.  The bottom picture shows the swimmers tailgating from the back of Amy Loek's (Rachael's Mom) Ford Escape.  Every morning, after warmups, Amy provides breakfast for the swimmers to get them off to a good start.
